Special service for kids. God loves you.

New Life Church’s club “Pol-limona” hosted a fun feast for kids on the 23d of June. The event was arranged by the ministry “The light of the Gospel” for the kids from the villages around Minsk region. Such a service was organized by the ministry for the first time. About 60 kids from the villages came to the church for the event.The feast started by Hillsong worship video. The masters of ceremony, Albina Kalinkina and Anastasiya Shashkova, having prayed for the event, continued with worshiping God. The kids were captured by dynamic worship accompanied by dance movements which made them quick and happy to participate.
Each team made a presentation about their Sunday school ministry. Taking turns kids and their teachers played meaningful sketches, declaimed poems and briefly shared stories about their team and life and ministry experience.
The music video “One way” of Hillsong kept the event going. Then pastor of New Life Church, Vyacheslav Goncharenko, came up to the stage. He shared about the Lord in a way easy for kids to understand. Several times the kids repeated after him that God loves them. Providing life examples Vyacheslav Goncharenko focused children’s attention on God’s love toward them and on the fact that God is always close to each and every one of them. The pastor held a dandelion. Having showed the flower he asked the audience if they knew what kind of flower it was. Of course, the kids shouted: “Yes!” The pastor wished the next time the kids saw a dandelion let it remind them that the Lord loves them. Completing the message the pastor led the children in the prayer of repentance, anointed every kid with oil and blessed their lives.
At the end of the feast the whole audience praised the Lord singing a merry carol and then blessed each other with the blessing of Aaron, having learnt about it from the masters of ceremony. “May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you…” – such a wonderful message was heard by the little guests of the feast.
Right before leaving for home the kids stopped for a delight treat and a photo session. Departing after the feast everyone left in a good mood carrying a bright balloon and taking home a particle of the celebration.
“The service was just outstanding! Both kids and ministers were impressed. The whole atmosphere was saturated by God’s love and His presence. When the kids came to the front for the prayer they lifted up their hands, as one person, to pray for the Lord and receive the blessing from the pastor. Some ministers cried watching that such a touching picture. On their way back home the kids asked when such a service was going to be held again.
In five years from now these kids will grow up and become teenagers and young people and they will remember our church in Minsk. They will remember the way they were treated here with love and care. When they have to make an important decision on how to walk their life and which way to follow, we do believe, they will make it in favor of living with Christ”, - regional pastor of New Life Church, Maria Semirenko, commented on the service.
Maria Semirenko announced that such services for the kids from villages are intended to be held once in three months. She also thanked all who had helped out with arranging the event.
