On March 10 the European Parliament has accepted another resolution devoted to infringement of human rights in Belarus.Fifth point of resolution is talking about the necessity to observe the rights of religious freedom. Let's remind that December 17, 2009 the European Parliament already accepted the similar resolution. In its context it was discussed expectation to give rights to Minsk New Life church to operate freely. |
The lawyer of church «New Life» has been detained by militia (police)17.02.2010
The lawyer of New Life church has been detained on February, 11th in Independence prospect for preaching.The organising press-service committee has informed on it on a party creation “the Belarus Christian democracy”. Sergey Lukanin preached among youth. Employees of militia have accepted him for the Pole who holds antistate meeting. |

The member of a Jew-messianic community "New testament" Ivan Mihajlov is sentenced to 3 months of arrest.As site “European Belarus” informs, Ivan Mihajlov is returned guilty of criminal offence fulfillment - «evasion from appeal actions on military service». Ivan Mihajlov refused passage of urgent military service as it contradicts his religious beliefs and demanded taking of civil (alternative) service according to item 57 of the Constitution of Belarus. |

Earlier it was informed on steadfast attention from law enforcement bodies to a family of the people of «New generation church». According to edition belarusnews.ru the authorities continue to put pressure upon Kagramanyan family. One of the purposes of this pressure is deportation from Belarus of the chief of the family Armen Kagramanjan. Armen has residence permit in Belarus more than 15th years, and is not absolutely clear, for what reasons citizenship is not given him till now.

Among other questions were: “Are you believers? The attendant? What church do you serve in? What relation do you have to Kovaleva, 72? (The New Life church address) Do you hold there the services? And where do you hold services at home? What did you do in Kovaleva, 72 in the New Life church?” |
